Boyd Gives Back

Over the Past 10 years Boyd Autobody and Glass has contributed over $200,000 back into the community.

At Boyd Auto Body and Glass we believe in active community involvement such as hosting Car-B-Q events to raise funds for local charities, the “Carla Boyerchuck fund”, local schools and playgrounds. At Boyd we take a portion of your repair bill back into more than 15 local charities that we support. We believe that healthy people, equals a happy community. 2008 - Helping Carla Boyarchuk:

Carla As seen to the left is a picture of Gordie Abougoush with some of our Dayton staff giving a check to our local MS Society Foundation for $8,000. Carla has been a long time resident of Kelowna. She owned and managed the “Best Cup Café & Bistro” in the Towne Centre Mall for over 17 years. She also provided the baking for several Health Food Stores in the valley.

On Thursday, January 31, 2008 Carla complained about a pain in the back of her neck which traveled down her left arm. Upon arrival at the hospital she went through a series of numb and paralytic stages and was eventually diagnosed with “Blastoma Hemangioma”, a condition she was born with, characterized by “abnormal growth of a node of small arteries within the spinal cord.

In minutes Carla went from a vibrant, caring individual to a quadriplegic, losing all feeling below the neck, unable to breathe on her own and unable to move her legs!

When Carla comes out of the hospital there will be “many” expenses as she will need full time care, we want to help by raising money for them.

She will now have to depend on outside support for all life functions. Any help you or someone you know can provide to ease the problems this young family face will be sincerely appreciated.
